1. What are the Carlton County office hours?: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except for holidays. Please note: the Motor Vehicle Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., except for holidays. The Law Enforcement Center and Jail hours may vary.

6. When does the County Board meet?: County Board meetings are held the second Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and the fourth Monday at 4:00 p.m. of each month. A Committee of the Whole meeting is held the first Tuesday of every month at 4:00 p.m. These meetings are all located at the Carlton County Transportation Building unless notified otherwise.

A city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees. This notice may be provided on the homepage of the primary Web site maintained by the political subdivision for a period of not less than 90 consecutive days, in a publication of the political subdivision that is distributed to all residents in the political subdivision, or as part of the annual notice of proposed property taxes prepared under section 275.065.
