Nature of Incident: December 2022 Snow Storm

Local Power Companies are working on day three of outage restoration. As of 3 p.m. December 16, many Carlton County residence are without power due to heavy, wet snow, which continues to pile up on trees, branches.
As a result of the extensive damage, local power companies are working to resolve the outages. Crews work as safely and quickly as possible while taking necessary safety precautions during this difficult time. Those who rely on oxygen or other lifesaving devices that require electricity should implement their backup plan or consider alternate arrangements.

As always during storm situations like this, we remind everyone to be aware of potential downed power lines, especially when in contact with trees and limbs. There is no way to tell if a line is energized or not.

UPDATE: The building will be open until 9:00 pm on Friday, 12/16/22, to warm up, charge devices, take showers, water filling, or for open gym. The building will be open on Saturday, 12/17/22, from 8am to 4pm.
