The Carlton County Assessor’s office has begun its statutorily mandated 5 year re-appraisal of the City of Cloquet. Staff will be out and about in the City of Cloquet through the end of 2021 completing this re-assessment. All county staff will have proper id, a county vehicle, a tape measure, camera, and i-pad and are required to physically inspect each property within the district and update county records. If a taxpayer is not home or available a business card or door hanger (for all improved properties) will be left on site. Taxpayers do not need to let an assessor inside of their home if they so choose, but should a taxpayer wishing to have a full inspection done including an interior walk thru, you may contact the number on the card or call 218-384-9142 to set up a time to meet with the appraiser.
