Transfer Station

ALERT:  Due to COVID-19, the following changes are effective immediately.

  • Please only visit the Transfer Station for essential services.
  • ONLY open for Carlton County residents. You may be asked to present an ID.
  • No mattresses at this time.
  • We are keeping our reduced winter hours on Saturday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM until further notice.
  • Customers may not enter the casher’s office.
  • We are requesting customers pay by credit or debit card when possible.
  • The household hazardous waste facility is closed.

The Carlton County Zoning and Environmental Services Office operates the Transfer Station. We have programs for the collection and disposal or recycling of:

  • Antifreeze
  • Appliances
  • Batteries
  • Construction or demolition debris
  • Electronics
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Food waste
  • Household garbage
  • Mattresses
  • Medical sharps
  • Recyclables
  • Tires
  • Used oil and oils filters
  • Brush
  • Grass clippings and leaves
