Community Health Education

Public Health Educators at Carlton County Public Health and Human Services work toward sustainable healthy changes within the community through a variety of programs/grants. Much of the work of the Public Health Educators is guided by the Community Health Assessment, which takes place every five years. The programs linked to the left list the current focus areas. In addition to these areas, Public Health Educators take requests for a variety of presentations to be done throughout the communities in Carlton County, table at local health fairs and events, and provide information about radon, mold, and other environmental health concerns.

Community Health/Public Health Education students are welcome to contact the Public Health Educators to inquire about internship opportunities. Please call 218-879-4511 and ask for a Public Health Educator.
