Keeping your toenails trimmed is an important part of good foot health. For a variety of reasons, it can become quite difficult, if not impossible, to trim your own toenails on a regular basis. Certain toenail conditions can result in thick toenails, which make trimming even more difficult. Toes ‘R Us is a toenail trimming service provided to individuals who may have a difficult time caring for their toenails due to poor eyesight, flexibility, diabetes, Coumadin therapy, or disability.
This service is provided:
Mondays: 8am-1pm by appointment or walk-ins*
Tuesdays: by appointment only
Wednesdays: mobile clinic (see Homebound Service below)
For a fee of $20 (Carlton County Public Health can bill Medical Assistance) you can have your toenails trimmed by a professional nurse in a private environment. We ask that you please soak your feet prior to coming in for your appointment. Also included in your appointment is toenail filing and a brief foot massage with lotion.
*Please note that walk-ins are not guaranteed and person may need to wait to be served depending on service provider's availability.
If you are homebound and otherwise unable to leave your home, we may be able to provide this service in your home for an additional fee.
This service is not intended to take the place of a podiatrist. If you have specific conditions that you are concerned about see your doctor.
