Rick Norrgard is the Department Safety Officer. He is responsible for keeping our staff safe on the job. The Department must follow the rules and regulations that apply to department operations such as Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MnOSHA), the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). Mr Anderson makes sure that Department staff has the proper training to operate various equipment, the correct personal protective equipment, and that we perform our duties in a safe manner. Mr Norrgard investigates any accidents that occur involving department staff and/or equipment. He keeps records to document training, equipment and accident investigations.
