Notice of Sale of County Owned Land
Notice is hereby
given that sealed bids will be opened in the Carlton County Auditor /
Treasurer’s Office at 10:00 a.m., on April 20, 2012, and be considered
by the Carlton County Board of Commissioners on April 23, 2012, for
the sale of the following described County–owned property:
All of Lot Five (5), Block Six (6), Nelson’s Subdivision of Outlots
Thirty-five (35), Thirty-six (36), and Forty (40) of the City of
Cloquet, and all that part of Lot Six (6), Block Six (6), Nelson’s
Subdivision of Outlots Thirty-five (35), Thirty-six (36), and Forty
(40) of the City of Cloquet, lying North of the following described
line: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Lot Six (6); thence
South along the West line of said Lot Six (6), a distance of
Twenty-Two (22) feet to the point of beginning; thence in a
Southeasterly direction to a point on the East line of said Lot Six
(6), a distance of 36.2 feet from the Northeast corner thereof; and
Lot Four (4), Block Six (6), Nelson’s Subdivision of Outlots 35, 36,
and 40 in the Village of Cloquet, now City, according to the plat
thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder in
and for Carlton County, Minnesota, except the North 15 feet thereof,
and
Together with that portion of 10th Street heretofore vacated, which
adjoins the premises herein described on the West boundary. (Appraised
Value - $226,300.00, closing costs, if any, are in addition to the
purchase price.)
Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Auditor/Treasurer’s Office in
the Carlton County Courthouse, PO Box 130, Carlton, Minnesota 55718,
up to the time of bid opening. No bids will be considered for less
than the appraised value and the County Board reserves the right to
reject any or all bids. Questions and requests for viewing may be
directed to 218-390-5936. Payment for this property must be received
within forty-five days of the Carlton County Board of Commissioners’
acceptance of the bid or the next highest bidder may be awarded the
sale of said parcel at bid offering.
