About the Emergency Management
Department
In
accordance with MN Statute
Chapter 12, and under the
direction of the County Board,
the Emergency Management
Director is responsible for
Emergency Management activities
throughout the County, except in
cities or towns which have
established local emergency
management organizations.
These activities include:
emergency operations planning
and exercising, facilitating the
acquisition, maintenance and use
of emergency equipment,
overseeing the County Emergency
Operations Center, disseminating
information to the public, and
maintaining liaison with
regional, state, and federal
agencies.
